The company was originally established in Volos in 1901, as a shipping and liner agency. In 1934 its administration was undertaken by Prodromos Iliadis and in 1955 opened a branch in Thessaloniki. In 1984 the head-office was finally moved to Thessaloniki and the company took its present incorporation status.
During its long operating history, the company has represented a large number of large and serious shipping companies and regular lines, some of which have been absorbed (ELLERMAN LINES, FRED OLSEN LINES, KNSM, PRUDENTIAL LINES) and others that are still active in the shipping trade (ZIM, COSCO CMA/CGM, OOCL) through their own international agency networks. .
Foreseeing this prevailing tendency of merging and havind maintained excellent relations with the former principals, PR.A.ILIADIS SHIPPING S.A. turned alse to the forwarding business by developing and strengthening a wide network of connections and co-operation with serious companies of the neighboring in the Balkans.
